hag·gis
n.
A Scottish dish consisting of a mixture of the minced heart, lungs, and liver of a sheep or calf mixed with suet, onions, oatmeal, and seasonings and boiled in the stomach of the slaughtered animal.
Sounds just as delicious as a PEI lobster served with Island potatos or a New Brunswick quahog with a side of fiddle heads or Digby scallops smothered in a garlic sauce! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Haggis is delicious. I had some amazing Haggis in Glasgow. The first, a homey, traditional Haggis lunch at Bradford's on Sauchiehall. A neat 3 storey tearoom. Then, a foodie updated twist on Haggis at The Goat in Glasgow....a portobello mushroom, haggis, goat cheese, balsamic thingie that was amazing. Pictures of course on my fb :)
